Gary Edgington

Editor and Publisher, CyclingFreePress

Gary Edgington is the editor and publisher of CyclingFreePress. He built the site as a fast, low-noise alternative to scattered cycling-news browsing: a single front page that tracks what established cycling publishers are reporting across race results, riders, teams and transfers, and pro-level tech — and links straight back to the source.

What Gary does here

Gary chooses the publications CyclingFreePress draws from, sets and maintains the sourcing standards described in the Editorial Policy, and is accountable for how items are selected, summarized, and attributed. Every summary on the site credits the reporting to the original publisher by name. Any original, byline-attributed post is written and edited by Gary.

What Gary is — and isn’t

Gary’s role is editorial: curation, accurate summarizing, clear attribution, and transparency about how the site works. CyclingFreePress is independently owned and is not affiliated with any publisher, cycling team, race organizer, manufacturer, or governing body. Aggregated summaries are summaries — the underlying reporting belongs to, and is linked to, the original publisher.

Standards he holds the site to

  • Attribute every story to the publisher that reported it.
  • Link out so the original reporter gets the click and the credit.
  • Preserve rider and team names exactly — no invented results, times, or placings.
  • No paid placement and no undisclosed affiliate content.
  • Correct errors promptly and visibly. See the Corrections Policy.
